Sirens to be installed along the Guadalupe River - A Big Help Warning Campers of Rising Water
by: Carl Winters, Complete Inspection Service living and having fun in the Texas Hill CountryLocal News Report:: January 22, 2011
Good News for folks that camp along the Guadalupe River
Sirens to be installed (50 in all) to alert campers of fast rising water.
When the sirens go off move out and move out fast. Each siren will be attached to a floating stick and when the water reaches that level the siren will alert folks of high-rising water.
Thank you Comal County Water Oriented Recreation District for purchasing these (50) sirens that will be installed sometime in January and February (2011).
We have all seen how fast water can rise when it rains. Finally after all these years folks will have or should I say hear the "siren" warning.
Todays Tip: Always inspect your campsite before you leave and put your trash in the proper receptacle.
